  • WANTED: Falcon Airscrew

    Hello everyone,
I'm Interested in any Falcon Airscrew Co propellors manufactured by D.M.Davies of 113 Cottenham Road, Holloway, N19 (UK).

Or any information, photographs, drawings etc.

Also what happened to the company as it appears to have disappeared without a trace!

    Thanks in advance

    Dave M. Davies

There are a few pages of information in Bob Gardner's book, British Propeller Makers of WW1: Part Two. I don't know if he has any of that volume left, but you can find out on his web site.

There was also a "Falcon Propeller" manufacturer during the same period in the U.S., and more recently a short lived Falcon trademark used to manufacture more modern certificated propellers, also in the U.S.

      Thanks for getting back.
Specifically interested in the UK company.
I've seen the bits in Bob Gardener's book as well as some articles in Flight.

the Falcon names seems to be popular so searches throw up quite a few including model makers.

I'd just be interested in getting hold of a prop or part of one as it was my Grandfather's company but I've only recently become aware of it.

      Thanks.
