  • Hartzell Wooden Prop

Specs #457 90" 707/80 2000RPM 225 HP. Any way to find out if these were ever used on Ansons? Quite certain it was on a T50 Bobcat or BE Staggerwing. Guy I bought it from swears in was on an Anson but I can't find any proof. Thx

I'm just guessing, but it's likely that it wasn't actually "used" on anything. Most of those show up as surplus, having never been put into service. Check the area around the hub carefully for signs of indentation where a pressure plate would have contacted the hub. Absent that it was likely never used.

I'd have to do some checking to see if that design was for a specific aircraft, although most of them were specific for an engine and could be used on several different aircraft, not unlike tire models on cars.

    Who was the manufacturer"

It is indeed a Hartzell and there are some signs that it was mounted.
