    Grüssen Thomas,

It is very rare to find the hub plates on any WW1 propeller, so your propeller is about the most perfect WW1 prop. The hub plate would come with the engine not with the aircraft. Your entire prop is part of a Fok D VII.

I don't think we have mentioned for some time on this forum that one of the delights of WW1 props is that they are sometimes the only remaining part of an aircraft type which is now extinct.

Your prop is special. Look after it and keep it in original condition. People one hundred years in the future will be as grateful as we are now to those who rescued these props a hundred years in the past.

    mit freundliche Grüssen,

    Bob

            Grüssen Thomas,

The six bolt holes in the hub reveal it to be from a low powered motor and usually this means the design dates from 1914 or 15. But of course such engines were in use throughout WK1 and new propellers were made for them throughout this time. Anker came into existence in late 2016.

Anker N111 propellers were made for the Mercedes 100hp engine which typically was used by the Alb. BII. The diameter was 2660 or 2680mm and the pitch 1440mm. Is there any data stamped on the propeller? If not, could you measure the length of the prop from tip to tip for my database.

            Mit freundliche Grüssen,

            Bob

Postscript; Wernecke owned the Anker company.

Thanks Thomas. It's a good looking prop even though the decals have faded. Keep it as it is.
