  • WWII S&S Aircraft Ltd. propeller interest

    Hello all,

I am new to this forum, but thought it the best place to describe my discovery. I initially mistakenly - after reading this website more - listed this item in the "early" propeller forum.

I have found in my attic a WWII (1942) S&S Aircraft Ltd. ( Winnipeg ) Avro Cheetah Mk. X propeller in astonishing condition - nothing done to it! 100% original! I am hoping to post pix shortly:

    Measurements: Length 88"
    Depth at hub 6 1/2"

Brass leading edge, 8 bolt holes, 8 laminated hardwood (Maple?, Hickory? Ash?), S&S gold/red winged logo clear as day on both blades.

Markings on blades / hub :

    SER. R. 1397
    DRG. 200.D

    DIA 88"
    PIT 7.5"
    Cheetah Mk. X
    Oxford
    June 1942

Not sure what plane it may be from . any ideas?

Any interest and / or info would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Greg

            e mail

as you can see greg, my e mail is FYRTRUC@AOL.COM send a few more there with closer detail, these props look better if photographed outside in natural sunlight.

Thank you, and yes I am interested.
