  • help with a neighbors display piece

    Greetings, I would appreciate any suggestions identifying a neighbors display
    piece. Found in a farm field in Missouri many years ago.

    8 foot diameter
    8 bolt holes
    metal sheath
    stamped 4012-4 perpendicular to blade

    Apologies for poor quality of photographs.

    Curtis R4?

    Thanks!

    It's too short for an R4 .

    Many propellers look the same, but had widely different usages. I don't recognize the number sequence, but there are certainly a lot of possibilities.

    You might be able to narrow it down somewhat based on the hub dimensions, but it's unlikely that you'll be able to positively identify it.

      Hub measurements - looks like OX5

      B=2 ¾’’, C=5 ¼’’, E=8ea bolts, F=3/8’’, G=4’’

          That looks a lot more likely.
