  • Unusual 5' Propeller ID help please

I picked this prop up last week from a WWII verterans estate who collected all kinds of old military stuff..Does anyone have any idea about it??The bearing housings are the only thing with names unless there is a name under the heavy paint on the blade hub area??The housings are marked "Dodge"

That's going to be a hard one to identify. I don't know of any belt drive aircraft engines, so it might be some kind of auxilliary prop or even a wind generator of some kind. It's cool looking and it certainly looks "old".

Thanks Dbahnson~~Let me know if you can figure it out..It's got me stumped..I just know the guy collected all kinds of old military stuff..His family did say it was an old propeller that he planed on making a windmill out of but never got around to it..It was covered in grease when I got it..I cleaned it off with some paint thinner but that's about it
