  • Help with Propeller Spec's please

    Hi All

I am building a large RC model of the Chance Vought XF5U-1 "Flapjack" and need information on the special built 4 blades articulating props. Most important are the logos on the root of the blades which appears in many photographs but is undescipherable.

    Thanks for any help provided

I doubt the XF5U ever used wooden propellers. As I recall it used Ham Stan variable pitch props.

The propeller was indeed made by Hamilton Standard but was made of Formica which is a form of laminated/impregnated wood.

How interesting! Never hear of such. Sorry but I have no info on it.
