    Help with Propeller ID?

    I have a propeller that has been passed down through the family.

    It is marked Flottorp GR Mich on the metal on each leading edge.

    It is marked Design 7845 ATC 610 on one side of the hub, MAX RPM2375 HP100 and some additional numbers that are hard to read, possibly 17177 on the other.

    Any help with the age and/or plane it came off of would be appreciated.

    Give me a few days to look it up. I'm out of town right now. Maybe in the mean time, someone like Lamar will have the answer.

      Flottorp made design 7845 to fit quite a few aircraft but none that I have a record of with engines rated at 100 hp. The information I have on the design number indicate there are letters following the number, too. Can you read them on your prop Montura186?         Thanks for the responses! I did try to look up the Design number on the referenced site, and saw the numerous aircraft/engine combinations, but they all had additional markings after the design number, which mine doesn't have.

        Mine only says Design 7845, then immediately below it says ATC 610. I can post a picture if that would help...

        Sounds like a lot of these old propellors have these minor mysteries.

          Indeed they do! We don't know lot's more than we do know about them.
