Miniature Paragon Propeller and Hub
Markings:

None
I have no idea what this rare 52 inch propeller might have been used on, but it displays all of the beauty and craftsmanship of the full sized propellers without taking up all that space.  I have not ever seen a similar propeller.  The American Propeller Company began manufacturing wooden propellers in the early teens under the trade name "Paragon", and by the end of WW1 had produced over 25,000 propellers.  The varnish has an "alligator" texture to it, but both decals are original as is the fabric covering on the tips. An example of an original decal can be seen here.  It is a left hand rotation and the hub is intact, with two pins to hold it to whatever shaft it was designed for.

This propeller is the perfect alternative for someone wanting an original and authentic, elegant WW1 era propeller at a lower cost of acquisition and shipping.  It would fit easily in many places where a large propeller is not practical.
