This propeller appears to be constructed of cherry, which was a fairly uncommon wood
used during this period. It has the original Standard Aircraft Corportation
decals on both tips. There is a small dent in the trailing edge of
one blade (see photo above) and minor splitting on the trailing edge near the
tip of each blade, but overall is in good to excellent condition. This propeller
is nearly identical to this one, and the Standard J1 was one of Charles Lindbergh's first airplanes. Wood: cherry Length: 8 feet |
