Comments: French built by Chauviere for Nieuport 24 bis with 9 cylinder LeRhone 110 HP engine. This same design (serie 2228) was also used on the Nieuport 17, a very similar aircraft for which the XXIV was an updated version. One of the original Chauviere decals is in excellent condition. The other is partially faded, but present. Stampings include the French inspection stamp "SFA" ("Societe Fabriques Aeronautique"), presumably with the inspector's initials alongside.
