Comments: Built by the American Propeller Company under the trade name "Paragon", this propeller was used on the Curtiss JN4 using an OX5 engine.  Later models of the Jenny, including the JN4H versions used the more powerful and more reliable Hispano-Suiza or "Hisso" engine, and the scimitar shape was soon abandoned for less expensive manufacturing processes.  Although some of these models were sold off as surplus, hub indentation and other markings indicate that this one was removed from an actual aircraft.
